The role
Working as a key member of a small team, you will be responsible for production technical support in our busy Probe & Test Department as well as providing Device / Product engineering capability.
This a varied role and your duties will include:
- Analysis of electrical test and process data to optimise probe yields
- Liasing with process engineering on yield and process issues
- Supporting production by reviewing and assessing non-conforming material
- Device / process / spice modelling to aid product development
- Device testing and characterisation of new products
- Providing technical assistance for customer enquiries
- Test programme development – supporting/modifying existing programmes and creating new programmes for discrete / MEMS / ASIC devices
- Involvement in project planning & execution of design & development of discrete electrical devices, MEMS devices and possible IC designs
- Providing occasional cover for CAD/Layout tasks
The person

The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential as are excellent IT skills.
Experience and Skills
Successful candidates will have:
- Degree or PhD qualified in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Physics or a Materials science
- Technically competent with a thorough understanding of semiconductor physics essential
- Understanding of semiconductor assembly techniques and processes would be beneficial
- Knowledge of process modelling e.g. using Silvaco, etc.
- Will suit a recent graduate since training will be provided.
