We are currently recruiting for two modern apprentices to train and work in our Equipment Engineering department.

The Roles
As an apprentice with Semefab you will be joining a well established organisation where you will be provided with training and support to develop valuable skills, earn qualifications and establish yourself as a valued member of the Equipment Engineering team

The programme will follow the Apprenticeship Framework attending college on a day release basis whilst we support you working towards completing a Modern Apprenticeship SVQ Level 3 in Engineering. When not at college, you will develop your practical skills within the Equipment Engineering department.

The person
When it comes to recruitment we believe it is as much about having the right attitude as it is about having the technical ability. You will have a strong work ethic, be reliable and conscientious. You must have a genuine interest in mechanical or electrical engineering.

It would be desirable that you have already gained a NC or HNC in Electrical Engineering or have completed an NC Pre-apprenticeship course in an Engineering discipline. We will also consider applicants that have already started an apprenticeship which has unexpectedly ended and you are seeking a new role.

Experience and Skills
• Basic requirements, minimum of 5 National 5 grade C's/Standard Grade 3 or equivalent, in English, Maths and at least one science subject, preferably Physics.
• Ability to learn new tasks quickly and to multi task required
• You must also be a logical thinker with excellent attention to detail
• Good computer skills required
